The love Joe Turney has for motorsport began aged 10 at a local kart track in his home town of Milton Keynes. Whilst it all started as a weekend hobby, it became evident very quickly that Joe had a rare gift and was spotted by ex-F1 driver Anthony Davidson who described his ability at such a young age as ‘exceptional’ and labelled him ‘a future star’.
By 2014, Joe was amongst the top 10 British cadet drivers and was amongst the top 5 by 2015, before claiming his first British and European title in 2016.
In the two seasons which followed, Joe Turney moved into senior karting and continued his strong run of form; becoming the British Vice-Champion in 2017 and the 2018 British, BNL European and World Champion. A feat never previously achieved by a British driver! Shortly thereafter, Joe was picked up by leading talent management company Williams Harfield Sports Group, who facilitated a test for Joe Turney in an singe-seater to see whether his talent translated into a car. The results from the test were exceptional, underlining what a special talent Joe is and what an exciting future he has in motorsport.
